Fakturino combines automatic local restore points, an external JSON copy and controlled restoration of profiles, clients and invoices.
Local restore points complement iCloud sync. Keep an external copy for the loss of a device.
Three different roles
Sync, restore point and copy are not the same thing
Each layer addresses a different situation. Only together do they provide a comprehensible path from normal work to returning after the loss of a device.
External JSON copy
A separate file stored outside of Fakturino. It will remain available even after the device is lost or the app is deleted.
For a portable copy outside the applicationiCloud sync
Continuously transfers work data between own devices. Changes and deletions can also be carried over, so it is not itself a historical backup.

Recovery points are created at times when data matters
Fakturino prepares a separate snapshot after working with the data and before an action that could change a larger part of the records.

The oldest available snapshot is preserved. An individual snapshot can also be exported as an external JSON copy.
Controlled recovery
First a comparison. Then choice and confirmation.
Before the data change, you will see the counts of "Now" items and in the selected snapshot or JSON backup. The extent of recovery remains in your hands.

Restoring clients and invoices replaces the data in this category; it does not merge it. Before making the change, Fakturino attempts to create another safety snapshot.
Backup extent
Invoice data and company settings together
It is not a copy of every technical file in the app. The backup is designed to restore the content you need to resume invoicing.
Company profile
ID number, VAT number, address, e-mail, accounts, payment methods, VAT, numbering and company logo.
Clients
Names, contacts, identification data and links to issued documents.
Invoices and items
Statuses, dates, currencies, exchange rates, payment data, notes and snapshots of supplier and customer data.
Appearance and output
PDF settings, color, notes, footer and email templates for further work.
What is not included:
history of the Vault itself, Premium permissions, diagnostics, Spotlight index, widget cache or previously exported PDF and ISDOC files.
Integrity Verification
A damaged snapshot is not used for recovery
Fakturino checks the format, size, data counts and SHA-256 fingerprint. It first writes the new snapshot to the working folder, verifies it, and only then places it in the Vault.
Integrity is not encryption
The JSON backup is a readable file. Save it to a trusted, protected storage, such as your own iCloud Drive, corporate cloud, or a secure drive.
